Sarah Fitz-Gerald Earns 46th Win in Cairo

Fitz-Gerald Plays Dominating Squash
On August 23rd, Cassie Campion managed six points against world #1 Leilani Joyce. Tonight she managed only five against world #3 Sarah Fitz-Gerald. Fitz-Gerald produced an evening of dominating squash, and showed why she, together with Joyce and Owens, currently dominate the major events.

Cassie Campion, who just two years ago wrested the world championship from now retired Michelle Martin, played better than the score might indicate. In the second game tonight, it took ten minutes for the score to get past 1-1. After that mental battle, Fitz-Gerald took game two 9-1 and stayed focused to win 9-3, 9-1, 9-1 at the Heliopolis Club.

Campion to get rematch opportunities in September.
The devastating performance by Fitz-Gerald is sure to spur Campion on in the upcoming "World Champion Challenge" series, upcoming in late September in the UK between these two stars. Head-to-head matches between the two will take place in September at Tynemouth Squash Club on the 25th September, Norwich Sports Park on the 27th of September and Hallamshire Club, Sheffield on the 28th of September.

Historic win for Fitz-Gerald
The match tonight marked Fitz-Gerald's 75th finals appearance on the WISPA tour. She has taken home 46 wins out of those 75 appearances --- a win percentage of over 60% !
