Sarah Fitz-Gerald re-energized for Heliopolis Challenge

Sarah Fitz-Gerald, disappointed in her bid for an undefeated 2001 campaign last week in Hong Kong, is back on tour in Cairo.

Though the top two players, Carol Owens and Leilani Joyce are skipping this event, Fitz-Gerald is back in the fray --- motivated to build up momentum for Melbourne in October.

Sarah will likely face an early test from Holland's Vanessa Atkinson, who has struggled in recent months but is talentwise one of the few players able to keep pace with Fitz-Gerald. Lurking in the other half of the draw is Cassie Campion, still on the road to recovery from her last winter's back surgery.

The Cairo fans will be rooting heavily for local Eman al Amir, but will be looking forward to a duel in the finals between Campion and Fitz-Gerald.
