Well the British Open 2002 has concluded, Peter Nicol and Sarah Fitz-Gerald have taken the spoils in a fine and convincing fashion.

Time for them to reflect? No, no, no.

The difficult thing for them now (and the runner's up - John White and Tania Bailey) is to front up tomorrow morning to play in the World Invitational Doubles competition. After the obvious climax of a hard week for them, the prospect of no day off and launching straight into another series of matches means there is little time to savour the moment.

An interesting picture I took yesterday during Johnathan Power and John White's match was through the front wall. I just wanted to show you the position of the photographer trying to find the best angle for his shot - no comfy chairs for him I am afraid, though perhaps I'd suggest a thin mattress!

Stephen Line takes position to photograph the finals.

The Stadium has now been tried and tested as a venue suitable for the Commonwealth Games in July, and what a prospect that will be with only a couple of ommissions from the top 20 players in the world. More great squash for the squashaholics out there.
