Harrow Sports announced March 5th that English squash pro Laura Jane Lengthorn signed a multi-year agreement to play on Team Harrow. With the signing, Harrow, a privately held sports equipment company based in Greenwich, is seeking to expand its reach beyond the USA squash market. Harrow, a new entrant into the squash marketplace in
2002, has moved aggressively to position itself as a signficant player.
Through continuous advertising and sponsorship of junior players, events
and teams, Harrow has gained signficant visibility in the US Market,
putting itself in a position to challenge Black Knight as the "largest
of the small players" behind Prince, Dunlop, Head and Wilson, and potentially
to push even them. Now
with the signing of Lengthorn, (and the accompanying
signing of Mo Abbas),
Harrow is moving to position itself with an international audience and
market. [Please take the SquashTalk Reader Survey]
