Antwerp, Belgium, November 3rd 2005. – This week, the first Squash DVD of the three times British Open Champion and one time World Open Champion David Palmer, is being launched at the US Open in Boston. Titled The Making Of A World Champion,  this DVD leads the viewer through David’s and his coach Shaun Moxham’s favourite training exercises, shows  magical match footage and gives insight into the real person behind the squash champion. In other words, a DVD that will inspire everyone’s game.

At the age of seventeen, David Palmer left Australia to pursue his dream of becoming a professional squash player. His hard work and perseverance have led him to three British Open Titles, one World Open title, two World Team Titles, 16 PSA Tour Titles and a number one World Ranking. David’s motto ‘Dreams come true only if you have the courage to chase them’ is the theme throughout The Making of a World Champion. “We show my favourite training exercises, the ones that allow me to win the matches. And we make it very visible: after each session of exercises we show you how I win an important point in a match with exactly that shot we just practised,” explains David Palmer.

Based in Belgium, David trains under the guidance of his astute coach, fellow-Australian Shaun Moxham, whom he has been working with for seven years now and who is not just a coach, a mentor and a manager, but also a very close friend. Together, they made this Squash DVD to inspire the game of all squash players - young and old, amateur, club-level and professional. “This DVD is not an instructional DVD. It’s the story of a man/person who has achieved success beyond his wildest dreams and a chance for all to aspire to achieve their own dream, lift their own game and enhance their passion for squash,” says director Shaun Moxham.

The Making of a World Champion will be promoted on the new David Palmer website (www.davidpalmer.com) and a road show will be organised in several continents. The DVD will be shown and sold at a selection of tournaments and signature sessions with David Palmer will be held. “People who buy the DVD will get to know David Palmer better. A personally signed copy will only add to the value of this must have story of a true champion,” adds Shaun Moxham.
