This year the Pro event (starting on Thursday October 4th) is back to being a PSA sanctioned tournament offering $10,000 prize money. This should attract 16 players ranked between about #30 and #100 in the world, many of whom will be stars of the future, as they are currently hungry, younger, up-and-coming Pros looking for ranking points. This will produce a different kind of squash to the Invitational events of the past three years. There will also be all the usual amateur divisions, an awesome Saturday night BBQ, and the many other pleasures that Santa Barbara has to offer!
