| This
camp is in its sixth year.
This camp has been successfully run since 1998. Paul and Wendy Ansdell,
Junior Girls national team coaches, provide an excellent level of
coaching to small groups. Additionally, a strong UK trained coach
is usually added for the elite week. Technique and fitness are both
emphasized. The elite weeks (1st and 3rd) are particularly demanding
and rewarding. The camp runs from 9:30AM to 5:30 PM each day. For
out of town campers, local billeting will be arranged.
For information and registration contact Paul Ansdell, 978-897-2972
or email at paulansdell@mindspring.com

Holleran Squash Camp For Girls at St Pauls School
Concord, NH |
| Ratings |

| This
camp is unique in being focused on girls only. The program
is highly recommended by past participants. Demer Holleran, legendary
American champion and committed coach, has created and developed this
women's squash program. The
campers will be divided into two groups: beginners/intermediate
and intermediate/advanced.
From a family of four
squash playing sisters, Demer and Jenny Holleran see the importance
of a squash learning experience specially tailored to girls. The
camp is designed to promote the technical and tactical elements
of girl's squash. On the premise that the women's squash game is
qualitatively different from the men's game, this camp features
a staff comprised of women to focus on refining the special aspects
of the development of female players.
Individual attention
is paramount. Each camper receives a private lesson every day. The
player/coach ratio is better than 3:1.
Past instructors have
included: Sharon Bradey, Orla Doherty, Emma Major, Carlin Wing,
Lauren Patrizio, Ivy Pochoda, Adrienne Ellman, Kate Lytle, Rachel
Nisselson, Chris Brownell, Lillian Rosenthal.
Junior Girls Sessions: Week 1- June 15-20 ages 12-15, Week
2-June 22-27, ages 14-18
Camp directors are Demer (610-658-0966) and Jenny Holleran.
