With six brand new international squash courts George Washington University has hired recent Dartmouth graduate, Sarah West to develop a women's varsity squash program. Despite working from scratch, a few experienced players have surfaced among the GW student body as word spreads of the new addition to the athletic program. Although the sport is still foreign to the GWU community it is sure to gain notability and interest rapidly, helping to expand involvement for the future. Furthermore, the opportunity to play college squash in Washington D.C. offers a unique option for the rising junior women.

Thus far the team looks forward to matches with Connecticut College, Haverford, Cornell, and even Navy's J.V., and is still open for other opportunities for competition.
