Brown University Women Feature New Blood

2001-02 Women's Squash Outlook
by Stuart LeGassick, Brown Squash Coach

In spite of the loss of three good players, this is one of our stronger squads of recent years helped by the arrival of the Middlesex phenom Lillian Rosenthal.

The team has a core of three Captains who give us great experience. Kate Esselen, Liz Geddes and Leslie Mann all give the team it's character and spirit. With Avery Broadbent vying for the #1 spot we have a solid team.

Freshmen Lillian Rosenthal and Julie Flygare, both from Middlesex and Phoebe Anderson from Buffalo are impact players who are going to shape the team over the next few years.

We are looking forward to our matches with Princeton, Penn, Cornell and Dartmouth. The big weekend for the team is the first weekend in February when we play Williams and Dartmouth.
