Haverford Women's Squash remembers the 2001-2002 season as an
exciting one.

Program highlights included the first (and second) -ever triumphs over the arch-rival Diplomats of Franklin and Marshall,
Haverford's debut in the C division of the Howe Cup, and the team's highest national ranking (#21) to date. Adding to the excitement were
individual achievements by the teams top two players: Captain Elizabeth Young '02 was among the nominees for the prestigious Ann Wetzel Award given to the intercollegiate player who had begun her
squash career at the college level and achieved the highest success. Junior #1 Abigail Stern's exceptional run at the Individual Championships gave her two wins before elimination.

Haverford looks to capitalize on the momentum from 2002 and improve on last year's
success.

The Fords have a chance to make good on that promise with more
than half of the top ten returning. Co-Captains Stern & Molly
Rosenman
'03, will be joined by a strong group of returning veterans:
Meredith Shuford '03, Amy Kim '05, Katie Crozier '04, Julia Grayer '04,
Catherine White '03, Jesse Elton'04, and Margaret
Olmos
'03.

Haverford's squash program owes its rapid development to
the expert coaching of Sean Sloane and the tireless support of
assistant coach Ken Norris. With last year's momentum behind the
Haverford Women, 2002-2003 should be an exciting season to watch.
