Fifteen teams represented amongst top 67 players

January 10th, Acton MA - The CSA Women's Ranking Committe has released the January 10th Coaches Individual Women's rankings.

A total of 67 players are ranked, representing 15 different teams.

Canadian players hit the jackpot in this first ranking of the 07-08, taking a remarkable 4 of the top 5 positions in US college squash.

Canadian seniors Miranda Ranieri (Yale) and Lauren Polonich (Trinity) are first and fourt while Neha Kumar (Princeton is third and Ashley Clackson (also Trinity) is fifty.

The top five are spread amongst 4 different teams and the top ten reflect 6 team, signalling the parity existing between the top rated teams this season. While defending National Champions Princeton are rated as reasonable favorites to repeat their title, their top player, Neha Kumar, is only ranked third and they only score two out of the top ten players, indicating that both Penn and Trinity will present very strong threats to Princeton this season.

Two of the top four, Miranda Ranieri of Yale and Lauren Polonich of Trinity, both of Canada, are familiar rivals who have faced off many times as representatives of their respective teams.
