Wellesley takes Wesleyan in season opener

In what was the season opener for both Wellesley and Wesleyan, Wellesley took a satisfying first win of the season 9-0. Led by seniors Erin Herson and Wenjun Jing the wins slowly kept coming to give a decisive victory. At the top of the ladder Tomoko Takahashi only dropped 4 points in total for her 3-0 victory with fellow Japanese team mate, Ayako Kubodera, clinching a 3-0 win for Wellelsey in her debut match also. With absentee, Sarah Bryan, mising in this line up due to Rhodes Scholar final interviews this team looks set to praceed well into their upcoming games.

Wellesley will be next competing in the annual Wesleyan Round Robin December 4th and 5th against Conn College, Bowdoin, Mount Holyoke and William Smith. All should be exciting close matches if history is anything to go by.
