In what was the season opener for both Wellesley
and Wesleyan, Wellesley took a satisfying first win of the season
9-0. Led by seniors Erin Herson and Wenjun Jing the wins slowly
kept coming to give a decisive victory. At the top of the ladder
Tomoko Takahashi only dropped 4 points in total for her 3-0 victory
with fellow Japanese team mate, Ayako Kubodera, clinching a 3-0
win for Wellelsey in her debut match also. With absentee, Sarah
Bryan, mising in this line up due to Rhodes Scholar final interviews
this team looks set to praceed well into their upcoming games.
Wellesley
will be next competing in the annual Wesleyan Round Robin December
4th and 5th against Conn College, Bowdoin, Mount Holyoke and William
Smith. All should be exciting close matches if history is anything
to go by.
