College Preseason Men's Team Rankings Issued

Familiar Teams Top Preseason 06-07 Rankings List
ACTON MA - The College Squash Association annouced today the preseason team rankings for Men's intercollegiate teams for the 06-07 season, which kicks off October 28th when University of Rochester plays Denison.

The methology for CSA men's preseason rankings puts a heavy weight on the final order of finish from the prior (05-06) season, with changes in team strength based on graduating and entering players factored into the calculation.

As expected, The Trinity Bantams, winners of a record 144 straight matches and counting, come into the season ranked first; while last year's second place finishers Princeton are ranked second.

A total of 50 teams have been awarded preseason ranks, including Air Force and UC Davis rounding out the bottom of the table, tied for 49th. Several newly organized teams, such as University of Miami, which begins competition at the Naval Academy on Nov 11th, enter the season unranked at present.
