Co-Ed Club 05-06 Season Outlook:
Squash is spreading across the Midwest and definately on the rise on the campus of Notre Dame. After a year of struggling to find players, and only once putting a 9-man team together for a match - we start this season with 22 men and 6 women signed up to join the club. Even with the normal "mid-semester" attrition, we hope to make several trips with a full team this year.

Notre Dame Squash Team 04-05

In October we are excited to be a part of a WISPA Pro Women's tournament that will be held near by (in a local private residence!), and are planning to go after some new competition on the west coast this winter.

Of the five men who competed in the Emerging Teams division at last season's Nationals, four are returning to Notre Dame and our team. One of them, Mike McConnell, is spending a semester in London - perfecting his game! Our Team Captain and Club President, James Zhang, spent his summer at NYU and found a friendly local club that allowed him to play almost daily. Phil Moss also returns to the team with a playing style that is so fundamentally sound he is a great model for our rookies to learn from.

This year we are pleased to be joined by freshman Javier Palomo, younger brother of team member Jose, who is already challenging for one of the top two spots on the roster. We also most excited by the number of young ladies who have joined us and are showing signs of being quick studies of the game.
