Stanford Adds Depth for 05-06

Men's 05-06 Season Outlook:
The Stanford Men’s squash team has an exciting season ahead in 2005-2006. On October 10, the team will be moving into the new Arrillaga Center where they will be playing on seven international courts including exhibition court with a three glass walls. The team will be traveling to the East coast on three occasions this year including Navy in November, Yale in January and Nationals at Princeton in February.

Stanford will also be hosting the second annual West coast round robin in January at their brand new facility. As always, the season ahead holds two matches with traditional rivals Cal-Berkeley. With established teams at Washington, Utah and USC as well, West coast squash is continuing to grow at an exciting rate.

After finishing last year at #20 as the nations highest ranked club team, Stanford is looking forward to another strong year after losing only former captain Chris Fesenmaier to graduation. This year’s team will be led by an experienced senior class including captain Aaron Ligon (’06), Jon Levine (’06) and Joe Kirscher (06).

George Kwon(’07), Andrew Burmon (’08) and Abe Chiang (’08) all return from last season along with Dave Herbert (’07) and Kabir Chadha (’07) who are spending the fall quarter abroad and will return for the heart of the season in January.

New faces Patrick Stella (’07), a Princeton transfer, and Ned Henningsen (’09), a Phillips Andover squash veteran, will be looking to make an immediate impact in their first year on the team.
