St Lawrence Women Aim for Ten.

Women's 05-06 Season Outlook:
St. Lawrence University’s women’s squash team will be out to crack the top ten nationally for the first time as it heads into its sixth varsity season in 2005-06.

The Saints, who matched their highest ranking ever last season when they finished the year ranked 12th nationally, return all but one from last year’s lineup and will regain the services of Erin Hart, who missed all of last season due to illness.

The one loss was a big one, Lara Kimble graduated after going 16-2 at number two last season as she completed her career with a 41-9 record. She was Liberty League Player of the Year as a senior.

The Saints do return Katia Stipinovich at number one, who is coming off an 8-9 season and earned all league honors and all league choice Ashley Eldredge, who went 10-4 at number three. Caitlyn Cimikoski when 9-5 playing at six and seven and senior Berkley Welles went 7-7, splitting time at seven and eight in the lineup. Jane Affleck, who was 7-4 in the second half of the season and Lauren Burd, 3-8, both missed the first part of the year while studying abroad last season, but will be on hand for the full season as seniors. With Erin Lacy, Anna Dunlap and A.P. Daniels all returning with experience, plus the return of Hart, the Saints will be out to capture their second Liberty League championship in the last three seasons and improve on that national ranking.
