For Immediate Release - Three times World Squash Champion, Sarah Fitz-Gerald, claimed her 41st Women’s International Squash Players Association (WISPA) Tour title and fourth consecutive title in 2001 today by defeating World No 1 Leilani Joyce in emphatic style in the final of the Truluma and Studiosus Reisen Munich Open.

Fitz-Gerald thrilled a capacity crowd to a dazzling display of power squash, overwhelming her opponent and securing a 9/1 9/2 9/6 victory in only 38 minutes. In 2001, Fitz-Gerald has now won all four events in which she has entered and astonishingly has yet to drop a single game in all forms of competition. In the first round of Germany’s premier event, Fitz-Gerald defeated World Junior Champion Nicol David (9-5 9-3 9-0), followed by victories over World 11 Stephanie Brind (9-0 9-2 9-0) and World No 5 Tania Bailey (9-2 9-3 9-0).
