Sarah Fitz-Gerald, the three times World Squash Champion produced consecutive 3-0 wins against French No. 1 and National Champion Corrine Castets to help secure victory for the 'Rest of the World' team in their Test Series against France - 18th to 19th February. The two Test Matches held at the OS Sannois Club in Paris (18th February), and Antibes Squash Club (19th February) also featured World No.4 and English No.1 Simon Parke against French National Champion Thierry Lincou, and World Junior Champion Ong Beng Hee against French number two Renan Lavigne. Fitz-Gerald's two wins extend her unbeaten match streak in 2000, which has earned her three (3) World Tour Titles since January. In the first Test, Fitz-Gerald sought to dominate her opponent from the start by volleying at every opportunity, and secured victory for the 'Rest of the World' winning for the loss of only ten (10) points 9/3 9/6 9/1. At the Antibes Squash Club, with other matches split 1-1, Fitz-Gerald's win secured both match and series victory for the "Rest of the World''. Castets is an experienced and formidable opponent, who above all brings exceptional fitness as a weapon. Castets fought hard and played intelligently but was unable to extend the match beyond thirty-five (35) minutes and had no answer to her opponent's greater accuracy and pure power. Fitz-Gerald won 9/6 9/4 9/0. Both Test Matches were played in front of partisan, capacity crowds. "Sarah Fitz-Gerald who played in last years "Rest of the World" versus England Test Series commented at the post match celebrations: "This was a great and innovative squash event, which attracted excellent crowds and terrific support. It's great to be involved with a brand which is as proactive as Dunlop, one which is truly changing the face of the sport." Fitz-Gerald will next compete in the Bavarian Open, in Munich, Germany (13th to 16th April). Sarah Fitz-Gerald, is a professional squash player from Melbourne, Australia.
