Manta Canadian Junior Squash Championships April 22-25, 2004 World Health Club, Calgary Alberta As Canada's squash superstar Jonathon Power fights for his 3rd Masters championship in Doha the nations "next one" just might be in action this week at the Canadian Junior Squash Championships. Some 250 of Canada's best young junior prospects have assembled in the Stampede city all vying for their respective age group titles. Leading the pack and looking to repeat as U19 Boys champ is Ontario's Brian Ernst. He will be in tough as the local challenge will come from the #3 seed Michael Auer. Auer has been playing exceptional squash with his game, both mentally and physically, maturing at an alarming rate. Local interest is also strong in the girls division. Calgary's Lauren Polonich, ranked #3 in Canada, is looking to add a national title crown to her ever expanding trophy case. The top four boys and girls will be selected for the Canadian junior squad which will compete in the Junior World Championships this August. The tournament runs from April 22-25th at the World Health
Club.
