BEATS GAVIN JONES IN FINALS

Canada's Shahier Razik maintained his great form throughout the event to defeat Welshman Gavin Jones in straight games in the final of the Losone Open Squash Championship in Switzerland.

The third seed from Toronto beat Jones 11-9 11-9 11-6 in 54 minutes to lift the inaugural PSA Tour title in Losone without dropping a single game.

Jones, from Maesteg, fought hard to stay with Razik but was unable to break the Canadian's iron defence where, using his medium-paced game, he cleverly manoeuvred his opponent around the four corners of the court, fully confident that his physical attributes would prevail once again.

Razik's win is his second PSA Tour title in five weeks - and the eighth of his career.
