By the end of the day, each team was ranked from one to four in their pool to determine who they will be playing and for what place. The day was free from any upsets with the only exception of 13th seeds Wales beating 12th seeds Germany 2-1.
Egypt, England, Australia and India came on top of their pools as expected. India managed to beat Canada 2-1 convincingly winning its matches at the number one and two spots. Playing at the number three spot, Canada’s Polonich got Canada a win when she beat Balsekar in a close match, 10-8 in the fifth, that lasted just over an hour.
The US rested Rein Weston against Mexico after she had played nine games the previous day. Still, they had no trouble defeating Mexico 3-0 in a one sided match.

Egypt, England, Australia and India will play Canada, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the US, respectively in the quarter finals with the winners advancing to the semi finals and the losers playing for the 5-8 place. The rest of the teams will be competing for a place between ninth and sixteenth.

The quarter-final line-up is [1] EGYPT v [5] CANADA; [4] INDIA v [10] USA; [3] AUSTRALIA v [9] HONG KONG; and [2] ENGLAND v [6] MALAYSIA.
