Dateline August 17---A number of upsets ruled the day in round two of the world junior men's championships in Islamabad Pakistan today.

Of special interest to local fans was Aamir Atlas of Pakistan who caused the first major upset on the opening day of the 13th Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) World Junior Squash Championship that started at the Mushaf Ali Mir Squash Complex and Roshan Khan Squash Complex on Tuesday.

The 15-year-old Pakistani ousted the reigning Under-17 British Open champion Omer Abu Zid of Egypt in a grueling thriller 9-7, 5-9, 9-6 and 9-2 in the first round. Pakistan’s other three entrants – Aqib Hanif, Shah Nawaz and Bilal Zaman – also cleared their second round contests to advance to the third round of the championship.
