MANSOOR BEATS COUSIN SHAHID FOR CAS INTERNATIONAL TITLE
Local qualifier Shahid Zaman celebrated his 19th birthday with a giant-killing run through the $25,000 CAS Squash International in Pakistan, beating Australia's third seed Anthony Hill, then England's 5th seed Mark Cairns, and finally the top-seeded Egyptian Kareem Darwish in the semi-finals - before ultimately going down to cousin Mansoor Zaman in the final in Peshawar. Seventh seed Mansoor's 8-15 15-7 15-12 15-14 victory in 65 minutes provided the 21-year-old son of former British Open champion Qamar Zaman his second PSA Tour title.

The hometown victory avenged Mansoor's lost to his Quetta-based cousin in April's Pak-Telecom International in Lahore - where former Pakistan junior champion Shahid then lost to world junior champion Kareem Darwish in the final.
