England's Walker wins Nordic Junior Open

NORDIC OPEN TITLE ENDS WALKER'S JUNIOR RUN

England's second seed Alister Walker ended his junior squash career in style three days before his 19th birthday with a 6-9, 9-7, 9-2, 9-1 win over top-seeded Czech Jan Koukal in the final of the Men's U-19 event in the Nordic Junior Open Championships in Kolding, Denmark.

The victory in the first event of the new season of the ESF Junior circuit was a repeat of Gloucester-based Walker's win over Koukal in the final of the German junior open in May. There was local success in the women's U-19 final when top-seeded Dane Line Hansen, runner-up in last July's Dutch junior open, fought back from a game behind to defeat second seed Margriet Huisman, from the Netherlands, 5-9, 9-4, 9-4, 9-5.
