SUE BACK WITH A VENGEANCE
Former World No 3 Sue Wright returned with a vengeance defeating Laura-Jane Lengthorn (England) 9/1, 9/5, 9/3 to move comfortably into her second round qualification match. Currently ranked No.25 in the World, Wright is playing with a quiet confidence of her ability to topple some higher ranked seeds and improve her position in the World standing's.

WILLSTROP SHOWS BREATHTAKING SKILLS
England's British Junior Champion, James Willstrop defeated top seeded qualifier and 1997 World Champion Rodney Eyles in the British Open opening round of qualification at the Edgbaston Priory Club in Birmingham.

The 17 year from Pontefact, Yorkshire, playing his first ever match as a professional on the PSA World Tour took the lime light by crushing the 33 year old Australian 15-13, 15-13, 15-11 in 37 minutes. Willstrop, ranked 285 in the world showed breathtaking racquet skills and touch at the front of the court, combined with a mental toughness which exposed Eyles' aging movement and forced him into using intimidation tactics which was not appreciated by the capacity crowd.
