Wllistrop can't get past Italian Champion
England schoolboy James Willstrop's heroic run in the British Open Squash Championships came to an end in the final qualifying round at Edgbaston Priory Club in Birmingham today (Tuesday) when he was beaten 14-15 15-6 15-8 15-10 in 73 minutes by Davide Bianchetti.

The Italian No1 joins Edgbaston Priory club-mate Stewart Boswell in the main draw after the Australian, now ranked 16 in the world, saved three match balls before overcoming South Africa's Rodney Durbach 13-15 15-10 15-17 17-16 15-11.

Bianchetti earns a first round draw at the NIA on Wednesday against England's world No18 Mark Chaloner, while Boswell faces their Edgbaston Priory team-mate Del Harris, the world No7 from Essex.

England's former world No3 Sue Wright cruised into the main draw after beating Ireland's Madeline Perry 9-6 9-2 9-2 in the women's final qualifying round. The Aylesbury-based former British Open finalist has drawn compatriot Rebecca Macree in the main draw first round, while New Zealand's Shelley Kitchen, who defeated Norway's Elin Blikra 9-5 9-6 6-9 9-3, will face England's top seed Cassie Campion.
