August 18, 2000 copyright 2000 Squashtalk.com : CANADIANS UNDEFEATED IN PAN AM TEAMS FIRST DAY August 18, 2000 CANADA UNDEFEATED AT PAN AM JUNIOR SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS MEXICO CITY-- Canada won all its matches in the opening day of team competition at the Pan Am junior squash championships. In the men's-under 19 division, the Canadians defeated the Mexican B squad and Guatemala, both by 3-0 scores. Team members are Andrew Jones of Georgetown, Ont., Brendan Abercrombie of Prince George, B.C., William Cheng of Toronto and Colin Ramasra of London, Ont. In the boys under-17, Canada also won two matches by 3-0 counts over El Salvador and Columbia. Playing for Canada are Calgarians Wes Chan and Andrew Janzik, Matthew Serediak of Regina and Danny Mclellan of Kitchener, Ont. In the women's under-17, Canada with Marci Sier of Shanty Bay, Ont., Anne-Christine LaJoie of Vaudreuil, Que., Ashley Clackson of Victoria and Radhika Ahluwalia of Mississauga, Ont., beat the Mexican B team 3-0.
