England's unseeded
Mark Heather upset third-seeded Finn Mika Monto 15-7 15-9 15-6
to progress through to the second round of the Charter Consulting
Windy City Open Squash Championship in Chicago, USA.
Heather now takes on
Irish champion Liam Kenny, the sixth seed who claimed a 15-8 15-10
15-9 victory over Spain's Alberto Manso.
England's Nick Taylor,
back on the international circuit after reaching last week's semi-finals
of the British National Championships in his home town Manchester,
had a comfortable 15-9 15-11 15-8 first round win over his US-based
compatriot Nathan Dugan. The top seed now meets Irish qualifier
John Rooney, who upset eighth-seeded Englishman Jonathan Kemp
9-15 15-11 15-7 15-12.
