Majid Makes COAS Quarters In Islamabad Foreign entrants, who numbered only three, all advanced today amongst a crowded field of Pakistani PSA hopefuls. Ramy Ashour, the Egyptian teenager who has been making big waves on the PSA tour for several months, crushed former PSA top ten player Amjad Khan. Countryman Mo Abbas advanced in straight games, and Ritwik Battacharya, from India, also advanced in straight games. Majid Khan, a 22-year-old qualifier from Peshawar, caused the only upset in today's (Wednesday) first round of the COAS Squash International when he defeated fifth-seeded compatriot Aamir Atlas Khan in five games in the $25,000 PSA Tour event at the Roshan Khan Squash Centre in Islamabad, Pakistan. In the longest game of the day – finally resolved in a tie-break – Majid beat his 15-year-old opponent 11-9, 11-7, 10-11, 6-11, 11-10 in 69 minutes to earn a quarter-final clash with fellow Pakistani Mansoor Zaman. Third seed Mansoor was made to fight from two games down to beat Pakistani qualifier Farhan Mehboob 9-11, 3-11, 11-8, 11-10, 11-9 in 47 minutes. By contrast, Egypt's world junior champion Ramy Ashour took just 11 minutes to squash former Pakistan No1 Amjad Khan 11-4, 11-2, 11-4.
