In a day quite disappointing to aspiring Pakistani Shahid Zaman fell short in a battle with English pro Stephen Meads.

Stephen Meads and defending champion Nick Matthew will meet in an all-English final of the Milo Squash Open in Malaysia after upsetting the event's top two seeds in today's (Friday) semi-finals in Kuala Lumpur.

Title-holder Matthew, the fourth seed from Yorkshire, fought back from 2-1 down to overcome top-seeded Frenchman Renan Lavigne 15-11, 10-15, 8-15, 15-10, 15-12 in 81 minutes.

Meads, the third seed from Berkshire, claimed his third successive straight games KL win when he defeated second-seeded Pakistani Shahid Zaman 15-12 15-7 15-14. Although a straight game victory, Meads took a full hour to down Zaman, who was only one single point short of extending the match to four games.
