El Borolossy earns first tour win since 2000; Darwish tops Parke in Semis

Egypt's Omar Elborolossy boosted his status in the nation's squash hierarchy when he fought back from 2-1 down to upset his top-seeded compatriot and defending champion Karim Darwish 15-12 13-15 16-17 15-13 15-13 in the final of the Maadi Open in the pair's hometown Cairo.

Elborolossy, who recently surrendered his Egyptian No1 status to 20-year-old Darwish, was celebrating his first win against the reigning world junior champion in their third successive meeting in the event - the last one being in the 2001 final.

The victory marked Elborolossy's first PSA Tour win since November 2000 - and the tenth of his career.
