MALAYSIA GETS DOUBLE - UNSEEDED KOREAN SURPRISES FIELD Top-seeded Malaysians Ong Beng Hee and Nicol David successfully defended their titles in the 11th Asian Squash Championships in front of a home crowd in Kuala Lumpur. Ong Beng Hee, the world No10, twice had to come from behind before beating compatriot Kenneth Low in the semi-finals, then needed more than a hour to quash second-seeded Pakistani Mansoor Zaman 9-3, 10-8, 9-4 in a repeat of the 2000 men's final in Hong Kong. World No19 Nicol David's opponent in the women's final was also the same as in the previous championship. The 18-year-old claimed her third successive title with a 9-3, 9-4, 10-8 victory over Hong Kong's No2 seed Rebecca Chiu to maintain a clean sheet throughout the event. The double world junior champion's semi-final opponent was Korean Lee Hai-Kying, the only unseeded player in either event to reach the last eight - where she trounced third seed Christina Mak 9-2, 9-0, 1-9, 9-2.
