In a thrilling match which went the full distance, Spain's Borja Golan beat England's unseeded Alister Walker in the final of the Atlanta Partnertel Squash Open to extend his remarkable record of six successive PSA Tour final appearances without defeat.

Golan, the 21-year-old second seed from Santiago, led after the first and third games - but Walker, also 21, fought back to draw level on both occasions to take the match into his third successive five-game battle.

It was in the decider, however, that the brave Englishman - who had upset sixth-seeded Irishman John Rooney in a semi-final marathon - ran out of steam and found himself 1-10 down before he was able to muster a brief comeback to take six further points.

After 102 minutes, Golan finally claimed his 15-12 8-15 15-10 7-15 15-7 victory - and the sixth PSA title of his brief career since netting the first just two years ago.

RESULTS: Atlanta Partnertel Squash Open, Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Final:
[2] Borja Golan (ESP) bt Alister Walker (ENG) 15-12, 8-15, 15-10, 7-15, 15-7 (102m)
