Britons Crash In Quebec Quarters

After reaching the quarter-finals against the odds, all four Englishmen crashed out of the Club Sportif MAA Squash Invitational as seeded players took their anticipated places in the semi-finals in Montreal, Canada.

Qualifier Peter Billson offered the stiffest resistance - but went down 15-12 15-13 14-15 17-15 to top seed Glenn Keenan.

The Australian favourite now meets local player Ian Power, the third seed who dismissed the other English qualifier Simon Pickering 15-10 15-10 15-10.

The semi-final in the lower half of the draw will also feature Canadian interest, as second seed Shawn Delierre takes on Brazilian Rafael Alarcon. Delierre beat unseeded Englishman Philip Barker 17-14 15-12 15-8, while Alarcon, the sixth seed, overcame Ashley Flathers 17-15 15-4 15-12.
