London based Carla Khan, grand daughter of Azam Khan, captured her second WISPA World Tour title in only her second appearance in a final when she defeated unseeded Australian Melissa Martin in a closely contested five-game contest in the climax of the Women's Ottawa International Squash Championship in Canada. Seventh seed Khan, aged 22 and based in England, reached the final after upsetting fequent foe, England's No2 seed Dominique Lloyd-Walter, in the semi-finals. Martin, originally from Adelaide but now based with her husband Brett Martin, a former world top five player, in Southport, Connecticut, raced to a 2/0 lead in the final. Khan, ranked 32 in the world, 15 places above her opponent, rediscovered her form in a dramatic fight back - and ultimately claimed a resounding 3-9 4-9 9-4 9-7 9-3 victory in 54 minutes.
