[Calgary Open Main Draw/Results] South Korean Star Makes Her Mark, Teran Continues Comeback
South Korea is one of the hotbeds of squash growth, and first made some noises about the quality of their play with a medal performance in the last Asian Games, played in Korea. Now Qualifier Lee Hai Kyung of Korea has become the big story of the first round of 2004 Airdrie Chrysler Calgary Open. The major surprise of the night came when Qualifier Lee Hai Kyung , playing in her first WISPA event beat Margriet Huisman(NED) who is ranked close to a hundred places above her. Lee Hai Kyung dominated the T area with consistently punishing length and brilliant drop shots in beating Husiman three games to love. Hai Kyung will play number one seed from England Lauren Briggs in the quarter-finals on Saturday morning. Briggs advanced easily with a three set win over Canadian #1 Junior Ashley Clackson. BLAKE
