Now Qualifier Lee Hai Kyung of Korea continues to be the major story of the 2004 Airdrie Chrysler Calgary Open. In fact her performance upstages the Weymuller event, going on according to seedings in Brooklyn New York.

After defeating Margriet Huisman(NED) who is ranked close to a hundred places above her, in the first round, she continued by shocking the experienced international Lauren Briggs and #1 seed in this event in a 45 minute contest, that turned on Lee's 10-8 win in game two that gave her confidence after she had dropped the first game.

The event enters the semis with the 1,2 and 3 seeds all having lost.
