Juniors Castagnet & Simpson Into Barcelona Draw
The Cuitat de Barcelona, starting today in Barelona, Spain, is developing into an interesting event, starting with the first round matchup of #1 seed and Italian star, Davide Bianchetti, competing against Junior tour standout Simon Rossner from Germany.

Joining Rossner in the draw, and competing in their first season on the PSA Tour, juniors Chris Simpson and Mathieu Castagnet fought through into the main draw of the Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona Squash Open after beating higher-ranked players in the qualifying finals in the Spanish city.

Simpson, from Brighton in England, defeated Bermuda's James Stout 11-3 11-10 11-10, while Castagnet - the 18-year-old Frenchman who won a year's membership of the PSA after ending last season as No1 in the European Squash Federation junior rankings – beat Italy's Luca Mastrostefano 5-11 11-5 11-5 11-5.

In the first round, Simpson will face compatriot Stacey Ross, the No2 seed, while Castagnet will meet another Englishman Tom Richards, the seventh seed.
