First round matches at the US Men's Team Selection Event held at Lake Forest Squash had Frances "Friday" Odeh beating local player Sean Ballard in 3 though Ballard pushed him throughout 10-8, 9-7, 9-5. 

Loose balls and frequent lets marked New York Racquet Club's Yasser Kamel match up against Ben Oliner.  Alexandria born Kamel looked to find his game but lost 9-5, 9-3, 9-6 in a well-refereed match.

Jared Sandler, Cincinnati Racquet Club Assistant Pro, defaulted to Conor O'Malley who will now face Michael Puertas in the quarters.  Tomorrow's pro matches run from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Lake Forest Recreation Center, 400 Hastings Road, Lake Forest, Illinois.
