[Check out the Women's World Open Seattle Website] WORLD SQUASH NEWS 2st round: England No. 1 Cassie Campion had to fight back from a game down to overcome South Africa's tenth seed Claire Nitch 6/9 9/1 9/2 9/2 in the second round of the $30,000 Carol Weymuller Squash Open in New York. Campion, the third seed from Norfolk, will now face compatriot Stephanie Brind, the world No. 12 from Kent, who beat another English competitor Jenny Tranfield 9/6 9/2 9/3 to reach the last eight. Another all-English quarter-final will take place between second seed Natalie Grainger and eighth seed Fiona Geaves. Grainger, the world No4 from Nottingham, beat Wales' Tegwen Malik 9/4 9/3 9/5, while the Gloucester-based Geaves defeated Australia's Liz Irving 9/4 9/7 5/9 9/5. Australian interest in the semi-finals will be decided by the outcome of the quarter-final battle between Sydney's top seed Michelle Martin and the seventh seed from Melbourne Carol Owens.
