Malaysia's world junior champion Nicol David made an impressive debut on the
WISPA World Tour when she reached the semi-finals of the Sonderborg Women's
Danish Squash Open in Sonderborg, Denmark, as a qualifier.
The 16-year-old from Penang had to fight back from two games down to overcome
the host country's 4th seed Ellen Petersen 1-9 6-9 9-7 9-4 9-5 in the first
round, then dismissed fellow qualifier Omneya Abdel Kawy, from Egypt, 9-4 9-2
9-4 in the quarter-finals.
