Egypt's 23-year-old Salma Shabana,
the 3rd seed, and 16-year-old Malaysian Nicol David, a qualifier, will
meet in the final of the Savcor Women's Finnish Squash Open in Mikkeli,
Finland - with both players only one match away from winning their first
title on the WISPA World Tour.
Cairo-based Shabana had to fight back
from 2-1 down before overcoming fifth-seeded Dane Ellen Petersen 9-7 3-9
1-9 10-8 9-4 in the semi-final in the top half of the draw. Meanwhile
Nicol David, the world junior champion from Penang, reached her first
final since joining the Tour earlier this month after defeating the USA's
second seed Shabana Khan 9-1 9-0 9-7.
