SquashTalk SRA/PSA/WISPA results WORLD SQUASH NEWS. 11/22/99 South of England Squash Open, Hove, England England's unseeded Nick Matthew came back from 2-0 down to upset compatriot and top seed Julian Wellings 14/15 7/15 15/13 15/12 15/9 to reach the final of the South of England Open Championships in Hove, Sussex, where he lost to No2 seed Bradley Ball 15/8 15/9 15/10. Ball, 23, from Suffolk, was a semi-finalist in the 1998 South of England Open, and claims his second PSA Tour title with this 1999 event win. In the women's event, England's former world No3 Sue Wright marked her comeback after suffering from viral pneumonia with a comprehensive 9/0 9/0 9/2 defeat of qualifier Cheryl Beaumont in an all-English final. Beaumont had earlier beaten both 5th seed Lisa McKenna and Norway's second seed Elin Blikra to reach the Hove climax.
