Robberts and Heather score close wins, Yehia falls
Atlanta -Egyptian hopeful Karim Yehia was not able to keep his run going tonight against experience British pro and top seed Nick Matthew while Irish #100 John Rooney earned himself a matchup against Australian Michael Robberts.
The supportive Atlanta squash fans were treated to two thrilling matches in the quarter finals. England's Mark Heather, a regular on the USA satellite tour circuit, scored a great win over countryman Michael Hopkins, as the two player split 17-16 games in the first two, before Heather took charge in the third game. Hopkins came back in the fourth to battle Heather point for point and Heather came away with the win, 17-15 in the fifth.
Michael Robberts gained a close five game win, coming from 2-1 games down against Indian hopeful Ritwik Bhattacharya.
