Razik Secures Salt Lake City Squashworks Title

Canadian makes more gains on tour

Squashworks Open, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Canada's Shahier Razik claimed his 3rd title on the PSA Tour when he upset top seed Stefan Casteleyn, playing in his 20th professional final, 15-10 15-6 15-7 in the climax of the Squashworks Open in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the USA.

"Stefan's right shoulder began to bother him about two hours before the match," said a spokesperson for the Squashworks Racquet & Fitness Club. "By the middle of the first game his ability to rotate was clearly impaired. Still, he finished the match bravely." Razik's victory avenged the straight games loss by the 23-year-old Egyptian-born Canadian to the Belgian in last month's final of the Japan Open in Chiba City.

RESULTS: Squashworks Open, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
Final:
[2] Shahier Razik (CAN) bt [1] Stefan Casteleyn (BEL) 15-10, 15-6, 15-7

Semi-finals:
