[South China Post story on Jonathon Power] First round second day results: Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Squash Open, Hong Kong 1st round (second day): [1] Jonathon Power (CAN) bt Nick Taylor (ENG) 15/12 13/15 15/11 15/3 Australia's former world champion Rodney Eyles crashed out of the $74,000 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Open Squash Championship today, beaten 15/13 9/15 17/16 17/15 in the first round by compatriot Stewart Boswell, a qualifier. The ten-year age difference between Eyles, the 1996 Hong Kong champion, and the 21-year-old world No. 26 from Waramanga increasingly played its part as Boswell maintained his focus to earn a place in the second round after 78 minutes. The young Aussie now meets the current world champion Jonathon Power, the 25-year-old top seed from Canada who took four games to overcome England's Nick Taylor 15/12 13/15 15/11 15/3 in 65 minutes. England's world No. 6 Simon Parke, fresh from leading England to success in the World Cup in Holland, cruised past local player Faheem Khan 15/3 15/3 15/8 in less than 30 minutes, and now meets - for the first time - Australia's fast-improving Paul Price, the world No. 15 who defeated Egypt's Omar Elborolossy 17/16 15/9 15/9.
