Teran Takes Toronto Title

Mexican favourite Samantha Teran was in scintillating form as she despatched seven-times US National champion Latasha Khan in straight games to lift the Women's Toronto Squash Open title in the largest city in Canada.

In the final of the inaugural WISPA World Tour event at Goodlife Fitness Club, the 25-year-old Panamerican champion from Mexico City beat Khan, the 34-year-old from Seattle, 9-6, 9-1, 9-2.

Teran swept through the event without dropping a game, ultimately celebrating her seventh WISPA World Tour title in her eighth final appearance.
