[The draw]

The battle of former world #1s, Natalie Grainger and Vanessa Atkinson lived up to its avanced billing, as Vanessa Atkinson fought hard to twice even the see-saw contest, before tiring in the fifth game and delivering Natalie Grainger a trip to the Harrow Greenwich finals.

The unseeded 29-year-old made her breakthrough in the first round, upsetting New Zealand's fifth seed Jaclyn Hawkes.  Bailey, who reached number four in the world in 2003, took the first game against Lengthorn-Massaro - but the third seed ultimately prevailed to win 10-12, 11-6, 11-7, 9-11, 11-3.

The other semi final was also a nail-biting contest, as Laura Lengthorn-Massaro was unable to hold her lead in the match, as took a 1 game to love and then 2 game to 1 lead in the match, and held match ball at 11-10 in the fifth game, before falling to second seed Omneya Abdel Kawy of Egypt.
