Pro Action from Athens

It was a day full of squash in sunny and warm Athens. Egytians feel at home here and all proceed to the quarterfinal's round. Basem's match against English Ben Coleman was the last match of the day and most interesting with also Zahed winning at five games against Swiss Reiko Peter. Lukas Jelinek pasted through against local and lucky loser Declan Christie 3/0. Europeans Schoor and Gabri Caro also passed and we will enjoy their game tomorrow too.

In ladies event all three locals fell. Greek champion Eliza Kargioti lost to the favorite of the tournament Italian Manuela Manetta 3/0 and Nicol Pozidi to No 2 seed English Victoria Lust, with the same score. Ex Greek champ and experienced Zeta Tzamalouka faught at the last two games but finally fall to Chech Olga Ertlova 3/0. Egyptian hope Mahmoud also won French qualifier Lecoq in today's most interesting women's match. I am sure that there is lot more to see from her in the future. Qualifier Sally Skaarenborg did the surprise and is through to the quarters after her win against Sweden's Bertlison 3/0.
