Job Opening : Head Squash Professional.

San Diego Squash is looking for a full time head Squash professional to start on or before December 1, 2007.

The candidate will oversee the ongoing operation and development of the Squash program at San Diego Squash.  Focus will be on servicing and growing the current membership, organizing Squash tournaments and growing the junior program through the club and local schools.

The Head Professional position provides a great opportunity for the qualified candidateto make their mark on a growing Squash community in Southern California by working independently and using their excellent organizational, communication, sales and management skills.  In addition, there will be time dedicated to working with underprivileged youth in our urban Squash program (Surf City Squash).

Program description:

We are situated in an area of San Diego called Sorrento Mesa, just east of La Jolla.  We have 4 international courts, some gym equipment, a bar with a beer/food/wine license, wireless internet, pro-shop and reception.  We have over a 100 members and want to reach 150 in the next year.  We are dedicated to servicing our membership and are proud to be the headquarters for 'Surf City Squash'.  We want to share a vision of growing our program and give you the freedom to make it happen.

Qualifications:

Experienced and qualified to coach Squash, outgoing personality combined with knowledge and ability to present squash to local schools and implement junior squash programs for the students.  Excellent organizational and communications skills a must.  No visa requirements preferable.

Commitment:

Minimum 2 years.

Vacation:

The position includes 2 weeks of paid vacation in the first year and 3 weeks thereafter.

Compensation:

Revenue streams for the candidate include, but are not limited to:
coaching, clinics, pro-shop sales, racquet stringing, assistant coach for kids at Surf City Squash, membership commissions and monthly retainer.
potential earnings : $50k+
Includes basic health insurance.
